Our special guest for this weekend’s Pride tea dance is DJ Ganymede, a sickening drag DJ from Asheville!
This special tea dance is part of the It’s Giving Edgewood Bar Crawl! A portion of the bar sales will benefit Atlanta Pride.
Ganymede is the southeast’s premiere drag queen DJ, serving a diva-licious collage of deep tribal house, electroclash, UK garage, and Y2K hyperpop.
Ganymede is a catalyst in the evolution of queer nightlife in Asheville, starting as a DJ and collaborator for “HEX” at the Mothlight in 2018, a queer-organized recurring dance party/fundraiser for local nonprofits. After 2020, she fell in love with the art of drag and has made it her business to curate boundary-pushing nightlife experiences, including Big Gay Energy at Asheville Beauty Academy, recurring DJ sets at Suede, and countless parties in Asheville at Scandals, The Odd, The Getaway, Banks Ave., Fleetwoods, and beyond.
